Game night with the kiddos

Sorry for the lack up of updates guys. The last 2 weeks have been full of sickness! I did lose 5 pounds, but I don’t think you want the details on how that happened
Thankfully, we’re starting to get better-slowly, but surely. But we did have a very nice day yesterday!
In the mornings we have Spanish classes. They’re going pretty well and we’re both improving and liking our teachers a lot. After class, Jorgito came to pick Justin up and teach him how to drive a stick shift. Good news in that area-one of the other missionaries here got a new car which means that until we have funds for a car we can use that one- Praise God!! The only problem is we don’t know how to drive a stick, but Justin’s in the process and I’ll learn eventually ![]()
While Justin was gone, I cooked and cleaned like a good little housewife
because we had the boys from the transition house over! It was a REALLY fun time! One of the boys-Jonathan- said that his favorite food was lasagna, so we had that, spaghetti and cake. And surprisingly Jonathan was the only one of the four boys that even knew what lasagna was! But it was a hit and they ate it-A LOOOTTT of it!! Jorgito and his wife, Ruth, and Danilo, who lives with the boys, and the two older boys in the project Juan and David came over too. And then later on Jorge and his wife Marta came as well! So it was a party! We got out a guitar and the kids sang, we played pit-which was HILARIOUS and just as much fun to watch as it is to play!! One of the boys just sat and laughed for the entire first round, which also prevented anyone from winning because he wasn’t trading his cards. Maybe frustrating for them, but wonderfully fun to watch ![]()

At one point Jorge came up to me and just said “How beautiful.” And it really was. To think that just a few months ago these kids were living on the streets. Their interaction with other people was to ask for money, or being kicked around by people walking by them. They were not treated with respect or even a second glance. And now they are so loved by so many people! It’s just so neat how God has brought us all together!
This weekend we’re hopefully going to take the boys to aqua splash, which is a water park here in Teguc. So that should be fun as well! We’ll try to take lots of pictures! God bless! ![]()
